Goals of the project
The partnership with Alokai focused on modernizing the platform, as well as enhancing its efficiency and appeal. With the rising competition in the market, boosting visibility and improving the user experience became essential. To address these challenges, we established several key objectives:
- Enhancing SEO: Improving the site’s visibility in search engine results was a top priority. Our SEO optimization efforts were geared towards increasing visitor numbers and boosting search rankings, which would, in turn, elevate brand recognition and drive potential revenue.
- Increasing platform appeal: We aimed to redesign the site to capture users’ attention and encourage them to stay longer. The goal was to create a modern, visually appealing design that would not only enhance aesthetics but also boost user engagement.
- Improving site readability: Ensuring that users could easily find the information they needed was crucial. We focused on refining the navigation structure and content layout to make the site more intuitive and user-friendly.
- Optimizing speed: Page loading speed is vital for retaining users and providing a seamless browsing experience. We aimed to maximize the site’s loading speed across both desktop and mobile devices, making this a central goal of the project.
Challenges of the collaboration
While working on the Alokai project, we encountered several significant challenges that influenced the direction and outcomes of our collaboration. One of the primary obstacles was the use of the PartyTown solution, which intermittently caused data loss from Google Analytics. These issues with accurate data tracking compromised the reliability of traffic reporting and analysis.
Due to these difficulties, the client decided to discontinue using PartyTown, which unfortunately led to a decline in mobile performance. The removal of PartyTown required us to swiftly adapt and find alternative solutions to mitigate the negative impact on mobile site speed and overall performance.
This situation demanded our team to remain agile and responsive to the evolving challenges, ensuring that we ultimately delivered a solution that aligned with Alokai’s high standards.
Our strategy and approach
To address the project challenges and meet our objectives, our team opted for cutting-edge technologies and methodologies. A cornerstone of our strategy was the adoption of the Contentstack CMS platform, which utilizes a headless architecture for flexible content management. Transitioning the content to this platform enabled us to manage the site’s content more effectively, significantly boosting its performance and responsiveness.
The headless approach allowed us to decouple content management from the presentation layer, giving us greater flexibility to optimize the site’s front end. This separation enabled us to concentrate on enhancing loading speeds and overall site performance.
Additionally, we conducted a series of speed tests to ensure optimal site functionality. On Google Speed Insights, we achieved a score of 75/100 for desktop performance, marking a substantial improvement over the previous platform that relied on a traditional CMS.
Results of the project
The collaboration with Alokai yielded highly successful results, fully aligning with our established objectives. The client’s website was optimized to ensure fast and efficient performance on both desktop and mobile devices, greatly enhancing the user experience. Users now benefit from a smooth, seamless interaction with the platform. Additionally, we introduced a new UX and UI design, which not only elevated the site’s visual appeal but also enhanced its functionality. The modern, intuitive interface allows users to navigate more easily and find the information they need, leading to higher engagement and satisfaction. As a result of our work, Alokai now has a modern, efficient, and visually appealing platform that meets current market demands and offers users an outstanding experience.
